Title: Don’t Tell Sanzo
Characters: Sanzo Goku
Rating: PG (completely work safe)

Setting: Several months after Sanzo had freed Goku from his earthen prison. Sanzo has taken residence in a Buddhist monastery near the Three Aspects' temple. He has just returned from completing another assignment for them.




Sanzo didn't like to be woken by anyone. However, there was a light weight resting on his chest that annoyed him out of sleep. He opened his eyes to find a ginger-colored kitten curled up on his chest. Sanzo was about to grab the furball when his bedroom door creaked open. He feigned still being asleep.

"Miyu," Goku called quietly, "are you in here?" He poked his head into the room and found his kitten. Goku tiptoed to the side of Sanzo's bed and carefully scooped up his little friend. "I told you to stay away from Sanzo. We can't let him see you." The monkey lovingly cradled the sleepy kitty in his arms. "He's really crabby when he's just returned from a trip." He tiptoed out of Sanzo's room and closed the door.

Sanzo rolled onto his side and tried to fall back to sleep. "It better not have fleas."
